About the neighborhood

Georgetown is a neighborhood located at the northwestern region of Washington DC. It spans 750 acres (300 hectares) and houses the Georgetown Historic District.  In fact, this old neighborhood was formerly a part of the Province of Maryland and has been established around 40 years prior the establishment of the City of Washington.
