Columbia Heights is located at the Northwestern part of Washington D.C. It's a highly-recognized thriving multi-cultural community, with people of color (namely African-Americans) taking up a major segment of its population. You'll find it has great community centers, a marketplace with wide-variety of goods sold, schools, etc. Also, there are plenty of residential properties located in this area. The Metro has one railway station here: the Columbia Heights Metro Station. Once a year, they hold a one-day Columbia Heights Day Festival in celebration of the neighborhood's diverse community.
